We are excited to welcome you back for the Alta Lodge dining, lodging and skiing experience – with special care and extra space all around. To ensure a comfortable and safe visit, we will:

  • highly recommend getting tested for Covid-19 before traveling to Alta
  • testing resources in addition to your own doctor:
  • offer in-room Covid tests for guests looking for pre-return travel testing (for quarantine purposes)
  • maintain physical distancing throughout the Lodge
  • place signage and floor markers where needed
  • arrange furniture to maintain physical distancing
  • wear face coverings at all times
  • guests are expected to wear face coverings at all times, except when in lodging rooms or when seated at dining or bar tables
  • wash hands consistently according to public health guidelines
  • provide sanitizer dispensers throughout the Lodge, and personal-size sanitizer on request
  • use plexiglass barriers to maintain safety
  • sanitize surfaces frequently, as well as pens, keys, pass cards and more, before and after handling
  • monitor staff daily for Covid-19 symptoms, and in event of symptoms, immediately suspend staff from work, with pay
  • recommend guests self-monitor for symptoms. A “no-touch” thermometer is available for guest use
  • offer contactless check-in and check-out
  • follow enhanced cleanliness and sanitizing practices
  • extend dining hours and seating to accommodate distancing
  • offer to-go meals and dinner room service at no surcharge
  • offer dining reservations
  • offer Sitzmark Club bar service only to Alta Lodge guests, their guests, and our staff
  • practice enhanced cleaning with EPA-approved antiviral products
  • offer housekeeping in guest rooms based on guest preferences
  • disinfect with an antiviral fogger when appropriate, and upon guest request
  • provide enhanced wifi bandwidth throughout the Lodge
  • have plenty of fresh air to enjoy inside as well as outside
  • all guest rooms have operable windows – our historic buildings do not have central ventilation; this winter, we consider that an advantage
  • operate HEPA filtration units in public areas
  • limit the occupancy of ski locker room
  • make extra ski racks available outside
  • limit hot tub capacity to maintain social distancing
  • the saunas are closed this season
  • operate family shuttles to/from Kids’ Ski School
  • offer access to the Kids’ Room during off-hours by reservation
  • offer Kids’ Club services by request, following best practices for safety
  • offer yoga with a virtual access option
