SKI ADVENTURES AT ALTA LODGE & ALTA SKI AREA

New This Season: Alta Breakthrough Camp

Alta, UT—Alta skiing is legendary. A trip to Alta and a stay at Alta Lodge should be on every skier’s bucket list. Skiers looking to improve their skills come to Alta Lodge for the Ski Adventures programs, which include expert coaching and guiding by instructors from Alta’s Alf Engen Ski School. These immersion programs are multi-day ski experiences where guests enjoy camaraderie of fellow skiers and the warm hospitality of Alta Lodge. NEW for 2017-2018: Alta Breakthrough Camp l March 11-15
This co-ed camp is targeted towards intermediate skiers and beyond, who are ready to hone their skills and take their skiing to the next level. Top coaches from Alta’s Alf Engen Ski School will introduce participants to precision skiing, which is the ideal use of ski equipment through accurate movements resulting in more confidence and fluidity on snow. Program days will begin with indoor tech sessions introducing on-snow training themes, followed by focused, video-recorded on-snow training each morning and application of new skills each afternoon. Includes four nights lodging, breakfasts and dinners, three days of instruction, three days of lift tickets, high end demo skis and boots if needed. Rates: $2,705 double, $3,326 single.

Alta Performance Ski Camp l December 7-11 & December 14-18 / February 11-15 / April 6-10
For both the aspiring and thriving expert skier, this program focuses on all-mountain ski tactics and techniques to increase performance on expert terrain. The progressive approach to coaching also utilizes time off the hill, with video analysis and evening presentations complementing what is practiced on snow. Includes four nights lodging, full breakfast and dinner daily, three days ski coaching, three days of lift tickets and high end demo skis. Rates: Dec. 7-11: $2,450 double, $2,818 single; Dec. 14-18: $2,692 double, $3,301 single;  Feb.: $2,705 double, $3,326 single; Apr.: $2,605 double, $3,212 single.

Powder Tracks Ski Camp l January 6-11
This ski adventure program makes learning to ski Alta’s famous powder snow easier, faster and more fun. Powder Tracks offers intermediate and advanced skiers instruction to hone their skills in a variety of conditions and terrain. Includes five nights lodging, full breakfast and dinner daily, 3 days buffet lunches, four days of instruction, four days of lift tickets (including one Alta/Snowbird day), high end demo skis, and boots if needed. Rates: $3,624 double, $4,429 single.

Women’s Ski Camps for Intermediate to Advanced Skiers l January 18-22 / March 4-8
Just for women, these camps bring together the best of the Alf Engen Ski School’s instructors for three days of instruction in a fun and supportive environment. Female skiers can build confidence, challenge themselves, improve their technique and meet new ski buddies. Includes four nights lodging, full breakfast and dinner daily, 2 days buffet lunches, three days of instruction, three days of lift tickets (including one Alta/Snowbird day), high end demo skis, and boots if needed. Rates: Jan.: $2,847 double, $3,527 single; Mar.: $2,788 double, $3,409 single.

Women’s Ski Camp for Advanced to Expert Skiers l January 28 – February 1
Our Advanced to Expert Women’s Ski Camp is designed for the off-trail skier who is looking for a challenge. This program will teach techniques to ski steeper lines confidently in all conditions. Includes four nights lodging, full breakfast and dinner daily, two days buffet lunches, three days of instruction, three days of lift tickets, three days of high end demo skis, and boots if desired. Rates: $2,788 double, $3,409 single.

Since 1940, skiers coming to Alta have made Alta Lodge their home. Owned and operated by the Levitt family since 1959, the Lodge offers fine food, traditional lodge ambiance and a place in front of the fire to tell of the day’s adventures.
