OPENING WEEKEND AND THANKSGIVING AT ALTA LODGE

Alta, UT – A typical family ski trip may leave parents needing a vacation from their vacation. Shuttling the family around in the rental SUV, making dinner reservations, or the hassle of meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking and washing dishes, all along with getting the family geared up and on the slopes may feel a little less than relaxing. Recognizing this, when Bill Levitt bought Alta Lodge in 1959, his vision was to grow the Lodge into a place where families were always welcome and where parents could relax and enjoy their ski vacation with their children. That vision is a core value at Alta Lodge and since then, multiple generations of families regularly return to Alta Lodge for their annual ski trips.
Alta Lodge has been offering special savings for families for over a decade with our Kids Stay Free program. Early Season this year runs from opening day, November 21 through December 15, 2017 and Spring Season from April 8 to closing day, April 15, 2018. Book a reservation of four nights or more in a standard room, and two children ages 12 and under stay in their parents’ room at no additional charge – full breakfast and four-course dinner are included. With two kids, this is a savings of over $200 per night.
Keeping parents and children in mind, our supervised complimentary Kids’ Club offers daily shuttle service to and from Alta’s Alf Engen Ski School, along with après ski activities from 4:30 – 8:30 pm, including a special kids’ dinner. Alta Children’s Center also offers day care for non-skiing children.
At Alta Lodge no car is needed, either to get here or after you’ve arrived. Alta Lodge is ski-in and ski-out to Alta’s base area, and shuttle service can be arranged from the Salt Lake City International Airport; transporting guests to the door of the Lodge in less than an hour.
